Our data are consistent with another study in which Res could not reverse locomotor impairments70. Research questions

Essential tremor: diagnosis and management

On Google Scholar, 58 out of 48,300 articles on the related topic provided relevant information. The selected studies were thoroughly read and analyzed to identify a link between the progression of the severity of the disorder and the food habits or nutritional intake of essential tremor patients.

Drugs thought to improve tremor include beta-adrenergic antagonists, primidone, topiramate, ethanol, and benzodiazepines. Less consistent efficacy is reported with many other medications, usually anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs). Patients #5–8 demonstrate the response of VT and ET to treatment with Xyrem in IRB-approved clinical trials [18,43]. Patient #5, a 61-year-old woman with VT, is shown speaking and phonating before and one hour after ingesting one gram of Xyrem. A moderate-amplitude vocal tremor is evident before treatment, with modest reduction in the amplitude of tremor (without change in frequency).

There is no investigation of the gender-specific or age-specific carbohydrate, protein, and lipid levels in the essential tremor patients to establish a link. Some other articles were not specific to essential tremor and discussed neurological disorders in general. The data of some studies are ambiguous to provide a link between essential tremor and the dietary component.
